Por e-mail enviado para o nosso sítio, Falcão Trigoso dá notícia de uma homengem ao nosso último Rei. Aqui fica para quem possa associar-se.

TRIBUTE TO D. MANUEL II – LAST KING OF PORTUGAL
On Tuesday 29th September 2009 at 7.00 p.m. a ceremony will take place at the St. James’s Catholic Church, 61 Popes Grove, Twickenham TW1 4JZ, in honour of the last king of Portugal, who spent the final years of his exile in Twickenham and died there in 1932.
D. Manuel and his wife are remembered at St. James’s for their charitable activities and for the many marks of friendship they showed to their fellow parishioners.
Organized by the parish priest, Father Ulick Loring, in collaboration with the British Chapter of the Order of St. Michael of the Wing, the evening will begin with Solemn High Mass celebrated by the Right Reverend George Stack, Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster. The Mayor of Richmond, Councillor Celia Hodges, will then unveil a plaque commemorating the years spent in Twickenham by D. Manuel and his wife D. Augusta. These ceremonies will be followed by a reception at the Parish Hall in nearby Radnor Road and the launch of the latest book by British historian Malcolm Howe, “Dom Manuel II the last King of Portugal”.
Members of the British Historical Society of Portugal will be very welcome to be present at this tribute. For logistics purposes if you wish to attend please notify Malcolm Howe by phone (0207-352-1953) or by e-mail
